Hi Wow this year is going so
fast.
Up here in the winterless north its wet, cold and
miserable. I consider myself very lucky that the web
design business is really busy at the moment so I can
spend all day at my desk with the fan heater on.
I've been getting some positive feedback about this
newsletter and some requests for help from bussinesses
that want to start there own, so this month I've put
together a guide on how to go about
it.. W32.Blaster.Worm
.At
the moment there is a nasty little thing called the W32.
Blaster Worm loose on the internet.
This is a "worm" that unlike a virus doesnt
need an email to enter your computer, it just downloads
into you PC while you are connected to the internet.
Only some Microsoft systems are vunarble to it.

NEW
SITES
This month Kamcom has launched two new sites and done a
major rebuild on an excisting site to keep it current
with a range of new products.
Anchorage Marine Team in
Whangarei has just uploaded their site at www.anchoragemarineteam.co.nz
This is a massive site of 120 pages, showing heaps of
pictures of their products and all the specifications. It
is the ultamate on-line brochure, and if you were
thinking of buying a boat I think you would get all the
information you needed from this site. There is still a
bit of finishing work to do on it but all this should be
done by next week.
I've turned John and his staff into computer geeks and
they will be doing the updates of their used boat section
themselves.
The team at Anchorage Marine have been good people to
work with which has made what could have been a really
dificult job, a breeze.
Tony Kwak Electrical has been
added to the northbiz site (www.northbiz.co.nz/tonykwakelectrical
)
The site is 10 pages and is packed with all sorts of
interesting specialist iteams that Tony deals in,
everything from repairing underwater cameras to selling
coffee machines. The site has only been up for a few
weeks but already is getting good results in the search
engines.
Kiwi Exports (www.kiwiexport.co.nz)
has had a major rebuild to allow it to showcase the
import side of the operation. A feature of this site is
the use of a drop down menue for site navigation.
Normally we try to convince our clients to stay clear of
anything thats not really basic but in this case the site
needed it and it works really well.
Im pleased to say that this site is ranked high in google
and searchnz for terms like "new zealand
exports"

FACTS
How
the Internet can Help Your Business
Most of you by now have a wesite up and running, but that
isnt the end of helping your business to grow using the
net, in fact it's just the beginning.
One of the best ways of helping your business to grow is
by publishing a newsletter like this one. Although it
wont suit all everyone, a newsletter has the potential to
help many small businesses grow.
Want
to know how to get started? check out our
article on the subject (click

Another good method is using online trade directories.
This can really increase the amount of "qualified
visiters" you get on your site. Next months
newsletter will give you advise on how to do this.
OUR
ARTICLES
I don't know if you've checked out our
"Articles" section lately but there is an

Search
Engine Sucesses
Im pleased to say that nearly all our clients are
enjoying extremely high search engine rankings and are
reporting that these are being shown in very tangible
terms.ie their businesses are making more money.
You can tell your site is working when you start making
sales in other parts of the country that are not reached
by any of your other advertising methods
Titoki Sawmill has long been like this. We sell our
products all over the North Island yet our only
advertising, besides our website, is limited to the local
Whangarei newspaper. In a recent week we sold products to
New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga, South Auckland
and the North Shore.
Many of our clients are reporting similar successes and
selling into other areas, even though the product is
available from local retailers.
