About Us

I am married to Sharon, and have 3 boys Sam, Ben, and Joe. Sharon runs the farm which raises beef and quarter horses, and also attempts to keep the house clean (with 3 boys 2 dogs and me that's a full time job in itself).

I have owned a timber mill, for 11 years, which has been concentrating more on producing trellis and manufactured products in recent years. We decided to get a web site to showcase our products and after getting quotes from web designers decided to try and do the job ourselves. This could have been the biggest mistake of my life. What I thought would be a straight forward, easy job (after all I knew a bit about computers) turned into a 2 month ordeal during which time I made a lot of mistakes but also learnt a lot.

My initial site succeeded beyond any of my expectations, it increased my sales dramatically, saved me 75% of my advertising budget, and freed up a lot of time spent dealing with enquiries.

I have realised that the internet isn't just the domain of the big business but is a fantastic tool for the small business, the one-man bands, the home stays, the craft people, the shops etc in fact nearly anyone with a product or service to sell. You don't need a big budget in fact I can get you a site like this for around NZ$300, and many people will require a site a lot smaller than this, maybe only one page.
